Italian police have released a video of a drugs raid in which they seized a tonne of hashish from a truck carrying a consignment of frozen potatoes. The discovery came after officers carrying out routine checks in Rome became suspicious of the vehicle, which was parked on the outskirts of the capital.

The hashish was packed in blocks of 100g, with initial investigations indicating they would have been worth around 15 million euros. The driver of the vehicle, a Dutch citizen, has been arrested and will be charged with drug trafficking. Report by Sophie Foster.
