Launching the Level 7 Archivist and Records Manager apprenticeships

The Level 7 Archivist and Records Manager apprenticeship is a new technical training route into the archives sector and is equivalent to the Master’s degree typically required to become an archivist.

Watch the recording of the launch event, held on 2 October 2023, to hear from speakers about the value and importance of apprenticeships, a future training programme to support employers in setting up an apprenticeship, and plans to create a forum for discussion and networking opportunities.

Having multiple routes into the profession will enable a wider range of people to join the archive sector, allowing people from diverse backgrounds to contribute new skills and ideas.
