My quest to stay the night at the oldest hotel in every state in the USA continues…Join me as I explore the halls of the Argo Hotel - the oldest operating hotel in the state of Nebraska! The Argo Hotel was built in 1912 and is located in the town of Crofton, near the Missouri River in northeastern Nebraska.

This is the most haunted hotel I have ever stayed in and one of the most haunted places I’ve ever encountered. The energy my brother and I felt here was off the charts! We both had static electricity-like sensations several times throughout the night that caused our bodies to physically respond with goosebumps and hairs standing on end.

The Argo opened in 1912 and was a popular spot for businessmen traveling through by train that connected to cities like Minneapolis and Chicago. It operated as a hotel for about 20 years and was turned into a sanatorium in the mid 1930s, that housed sick and mentally disabled people. In the early 1960s it was turned into a family practice doctor’s office for several decades before closing in the late 1980s where it sat abandoned for several years. In 1994 it was purchased by new owners and refurbished and reopened as an operating hotel again.
