I requested this tile for a basement that I am finishing currently and I plan on using it where the funace and water heater are currently at. Normally this would be unnecessary, but the contractors that remodeled our home, installed the furnace and water heater and fixed the basement foundation floor after they broke it removing a toilet apparently were too stupid to level the floor and grade it toward the water drain. So this task will fall to me once I have that area of the basement cleared of insulation and shelving and will involve my 6 foot bubble level and my smart phone to set the perfect grade per local building code and self-leveling cement. Then once that cures I'll lay grout and carefully lay the tile from the far corners backing up towards the basement staircase.

As for these tiles I'm confident they can hold up to the weight of the furnace and the very occasional foot traffic. As for the water heater, I already have a tankless electric unit down there ready to replace the 65 gallon gas water heater currently in place, so the tile won't be supporting a heavy water tank.


Pros: Easy to Clean, Effective, Sturdy

Cons: No Instructions, Difficult to Install, tile edges not straight vertical, tiles are irregular mirror-shaped, not porcelain according to u.s. standards
