Few Q&A relating Universe Project:
Q:Will we be paying for the game once or is the game planning on a monthly subscription?
A:Definitely no monthly fees. Though I can't say for sure the costs for the game at this point, the goal is for a one-time payment and free-to-play. The game will make most of it's money through regular in-game transactions when players purchase goods between themselves for real money, which would be taxed. This concept is similar to Diablo 3 except there is no global auction house. You have to find players to transact with.

Q:Will the game have randoms events such as Natural disasters or other key events to drive history within the game?
A:That idea has been thrown around a bit. The biggest problem with such a thing would be the effect it would have on the networking module. Sudden, wide-spread activity that affects thousands of players would likely crash the server and clients with a stack overflow as the game tries to simulate and re-simulate actions in the appropriate time-frames. At this point, there are no concrete plans for such things, but I would say there is a fair chance of it occurring in the future after some significant testing, after the game begins funding itself.

Q:Will the game be available as a steam purchase?
A:The game will be available in as many platforms as possible, which would include steam (if they allow it). It would also include Android, iPhone, Consoles (that have a modern browser), tablets, as Facebook game...etc. I personally haven't yet looked into the terms that steam offers for selling games, but that will be a top priority when the time comes.
