Ingredients:
Water 2-3 liter or as required
Saubt Mash (Black Lentil) soaked 2 cups
Chana daal (Split Bengal gram) soaked 1 cup
Namak (Salt) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste
Lal mirch (Red Chilies) powder 1 & ½ tsp
Haldee (Turmeric) powder 1 tsp
Tarka:
Makhan (Butter) ½ cup
Hara pyaz (Green Onion) 1 cup
Hara lehsan (Green galic) 2-3 tbsp (Optional)
Tamater (Tomatoes) Paste 2 medium
Lehsan Adrak (Ginger Garlic) Paste 2 tsp
Chili flakes 1 tsp
Hari mirch (Green chilies) chopped 3-4
Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp
Fresh Lemon Juice
Directions:
In a wok add water, black lentil, split Bengal gram, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and bring it to boil.
Cover and cook on medium-low flame until lentil is done and a creamy texture appears (approx.50-60 minutes).
In a pan add butter and let it melt.
Now add green onion, green garlic, and fry until translucent.
Add tomatoes and mix well.
Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for 1-2 minutes.
Add chili flakes, green chilies and mix well.
Add Tarka into cooked lentil, mix well cover let it simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Add chopped coriander mix well.
In a serving bowl add cooked daal makhani garnish fresh coriander, fresh lemon juice, and fresh butter.
Serve with boiled rice, roti, naan!
