Tyres, why do they matter?

This car is stock to the bones, it comes with CEAT SecuraDrive pretty average tyre good for city usage but for a car like this which is meant to handle better, these would not be my first choice.
They hold well at speed and decent around the corners.

Problem comes as soon as you start to push the car they start to give up, don’t get me wrong they hold the car steady around a leaning corner at 80km which is good but tuck the front in a bit more or try to manoeuvre while in a corner and esp & traction needs to jump in.

How does that matter, since you are able to do stupid shit at speeds right? Wrong, as soon as traction & esp kicks in, throttle input ≠ power output. The computer takes over Suddenly you can’t tell the car what needs to be done, it decides for you, you need all the available torque, here half of it since tyres are loosing their grip, this bites into the fun factor and kills the rawness of this car.

Love driving on highway, they hold great on speed, tyre pressure doesn’t shoot up meaning they control the heating well.
What’s to complain well road noise, they make the car noisy a but too much due to more than usual road noise they produce. Which digs into the quite and up class cabin experience.

Coming to the beautiful weather we have, Rains. Well you better back off that throttle because they don’t hold ground that well in the wet. Its not bad bad but can’t push the car and hoone in wet conditions. You will need to back off a bit from your usual pace.

So for this car or any other for that matter tyres are a one front where i would not cheap out at all, this is a truth that i learned the hard way now.
