So you are at that important time when you need to know if your screed is dry, but you are unsure which moisture testing method is suitable for your screed.

The moisture testing methods for Gypsum Screed are:

Testing can be carried out by using the Calcium Carbide test or CM test as it is known, where a sample of the screed is taken and tested in the chamber, giving an immediate result.

A relative humidity test can be carried out using the hydro hood or a humidity sleeve.

Non-destructive moisture meter for measuring quantitative moisture content as percentage moisture.

The CEMX5 also provides a Carbide Method equivalent
