Ethics of offering hypnosis for pain relief
• It is essential that the hypnotherapist is honest and that he/she does not make exaggerated claims.
• It is essential to get the client's informed consent.
• Informed consent includes disclosing to the client the risks and benefits of hypnosis for pain control.
• Informed consent includes clarifying what we are likely to accomplish and what we are unlikely to accomplish.
• ETHICS is all about what we should do and shouldn’t do, so as to avoid causing harm.
• In this workshop, I cover how to begin pain hypnotherapy and conducting the initial intake.
• I cover how to frame Pain Hypnotherapy. I say: "I work rapidly so you can find out if you are going to get pain relief soon enough. I practice RAPID HYPNOANALYSIS which means I use hypnosis to psychologically analyze what you will have to change to get better pain relief."

• PSYCHOLOGICAL TREATMENT PLANNING. WE TREAT THE EMOTIONAL OVERLAY NOT THE PAIN DIRECTLY.
