Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership launched details of its investment in the Government's Growing Places fund during its 2012 conference. The fund supports infrastructure projects within the county with the aim to promote economic growth. Four successful project applications were featured.

The fund facilitates a new roundabout access road on the A44, near Pershore. This will allow Springhill Farms to install a new 1.5mW AD plant to generate sustainable energy and reduce green waste. Lower heating cost will enable the Vale of Evesham grower to be more competitive. This will sustain 40 existing and create 12 new jobs.
