"Home to Islay" is the second album from the Murray Omand Band and the first for Rover Records. The album was recorded in Glasgow during May of '94 and took around a week to complete. During this time the band "camped" out in River Records studio, recording during the day and performing live at night. The music has a strong Scottish and Irish influence and is played with a passion and flair which is characteristic of music from the Scottish islands.

The band have been playing together for almost 2 years and are gaining a popularity beyond Islay's shores. They are frequently requested to play throughout Glasgow and the west coast of Scotland. We believe this is their strongest work to date and will hopefully help to establish the band in the Scottish music circuit.
