Valley of Gulcha river where Sarykamysh village is located is one of the most dangerous landslide prone places of Kyrgyzstan. It is connected with the presence of loess and clay rocks of Cretaceous period that very easily turn into fluid state because of increasing moisture. Surface waters easily penetrate into soil in case of destruction of vegetation and grassy cover. Thus, destruction of vegetation cover resulting from overgrazing and cutting down of wood and bush vegetation is the cause that intensify landslide and erosion processes.

Main goal of the project is to prevent land degradation and preservation meadow and forest ecosystems around Sarkamysh village through planting saplings in 40 hectares walnuts, almonds, Red Book species such as Nedvedskiy apple, Korgyskogo pear, hawthorn Knoringa, Turkestan mountain ash, buckthorn, horseheal and fast growing trees.
