Had the known bootloop issue on the LG nexus 5x (also present on the G4/G5/V10/and some now say V20) and had LG "repair" the device. Others have stated that LG only flashes the memory on the device and doesn't even check to see if it fixes the devices with the bootloop (its a hardware issue) so I decided to record this showing that they in fact did not do anything to fix the problem.

If you don't want to watch the video, the summary is this;
LG has bootloop issues and warranty work will likely leave you without a working device because they are incompetent. Please remember this when you make your next smartphone purchase.

Update: sent the phone back and they deemed it unrepairable at the moment and has offered a LG g5 as a replacement for the phone.

2nd Update: after about 2 months of not having a replacement phone, I did receive a LG g5, except I needed the verizon variant that they assured me they would send and instead received a ATT variant. I contacted LG "support" and they apologized for the mistake and is escalating the issue and will contact me with a solution. That was 3 weeks ago now and have not heard back from them. I sold the G5 and will not be purchasing another LG product out of fear of their customer service and how they handle warranty issues.

3rd update: received a check from LG labeled "risk management" for the amount that I payed initially for the phone.
