Kim was falsely accused of spiking Dawn Fletcher's drink and was forced to move out of Home Farm to the B&B.
Claire King, who plays Kim, hopes this change is only temporary as she and the rest of the Home Farm family enjoy working together.
Kim has shown a softer side recently, becoming close to Dawn, Billy, and their children. This is why she initially lied to cover for Billy when he broke social distancing rules.
Claire King likes this new dimension to Kim's character, as it provides balance and prevents the character from becoming one-dimensional.
Kim is currently upset about Gabby and Thomas moving out of Home Farm to protect Evan, as Thomas is Kim's biological grandchild.
Kim is unaware of the romance brewing between Gabby and Vinny Dingle, but Claire King suggests Kim will likely not be thrilled about that pairing.
The storyline around Evan's leukaemia has allowed for some deeper emotional scenes, which Claire King enjoys in contrast to Kim's "camp and drama".
Thankfully, Kim's departure from Home Farm was short-lived, as she quickly worked out the plan Rose and Ruby were cooking up and returned home.
