Closing session of the research workshop "Become a Published Researcher" held on 27th January 2023 at Khyber Teaching Hospital Surgical - C demonstration room.

The workshop was a continued 4- week activity panning over days with a continued follow-up with the participants including both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Practical hands-on sessions were held and participants were guided from scratch on how to go about research

The organizing team takes pride in producing 13 synopses ready for approval and publishing as a result of this workshop

The facilitators of this workshop were Dr. Asad Maroof and Dr. M. Imran - Assistant Professor Surgery SCW, Dr. Ziaullah, and Dr. Abdus Salam - Resident Surgeons SCW, and co-organized by the chief organizers were Dr. Shahzeb Khan - Registrar Surgical C, and Dr. Samra Fakhar, Resident Surgeon Surgical - C.

The patron in chief Prof. Dr. Rooh-ul-Muqim and Program Director Prof. Dr. M. Zarin lauded the efforts of the team and emphasized on the importance of research and showed promise to continue doing such activities in the future. They insisted upon other departments to follow suit and take on this initiative. They gave special appreciation to the facilitators and organizers.

The gathering was graced by Prof. Dr. Mah Munir - Chairperson Department of Surgery, KTH, and the Medical Director Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siraj. In their opening remarks, they had a great appreciation for the activity and promised to continue supporting these in the future. Dr. Mah Munir vowed to continue this as a permanent departmental feature on a quarterly or biannual basis.
