Mac Pro 2010 upgrade Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti

Описание к видео Mac Pro 2010 upgrade Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti

This video shows the installation of the GTX 1080 Ti video card on my Mac Pro 2010. The installation is incorrect because the power required by the video card is superior to the Y cable only shown in the video. In order to power the card properly, you will need to use an additional socket outlet for the removable disks in addition to the Y cable. They will soon be releasing an updated video with the correct connection ..
Stay tuned .....

To install the board you need more power, otherwise the machine will switch off during an intense job
So I removed two hard disks and I have at the current with cables
These are the links where I bought the 8 Pin Cable

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B004...

You also need the SATA power adapter where you will take the power and connect the 8 pin extension cable:

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B007...

So the other 6-pin cable is the one you have, feeds your previous card

Before removing the card to be replaced, you must update the operating system with all the drives that can be downloaded at:

http://www.nvidia.it/Download/index.a...

If you do not do this when you turn on the computer you will not see the desktop when it starts!
You will then only have the black screen !!!
