India-Canada Diplomatic Row | U.S. Announces New Khalistan Probe | NewsX

As tensions between India and Canada escalate over the killing of pro-Khalistan figure Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia, the U.S. State Department announced that an Indian investigation team would visit Washington, D.C., to probe a plot to kill U.S. citizen Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Pannun, a designated terrorist by India and leader of Sikhs for Justice, was allegedly targeted in a plot directed by an Indian government employee. The U.S. Department of Justice filed charges in November 2023.
