Pleural Thickening, A Radiological Investigation

Pleural thickening은 흔하게 보는 소견이고, 단독 소견으로 보일 수도 있고, pleural calcifications, effusion, nodule/mass등을 동반할 수 있습니다. Focal 혹은 Diffuse하게 생기며, benign 또는 malignant disease등 다양한 원인에 의해 발생합니다.
Radiologic images는 pleural thickening을 평가하는데 중요한 modality 이고, 주로 Chest radiographs, Chest CT를 이용합니다.
Benign focal pleural thickening, Benign diffuse pleural thickening, Malignant diffuse pleural thickening으로 분류하여 CT소견을 중심으로 review 하였습니다.
