The material illegally bulldozed from the Temple Mount includes some of the most amazing artifacts. This video shows one of our staff finding a beautiful piece of Opus Sectile Tile (cut work stone) while sifting this material. Our researcher, Frankie Snyder, happens to know exactly where this piece fits into her model of floor tile patterns from the Crusader period, and the time of the Knights Templar. The Temple Mount Sifting Project is dedicated to retrieving and researching the over Half a Million artifacts recovered from the Temple Mount.

This video was taken today right after Ilan Shmilov, one of our staff, found another Opus Sectile floor tile that was probably used in a lavish and elaborate Crusader floor. Staff member, Frankie Snyder, an Opus Sectile expert, is currently working to actually RECONSTRUCT an unknown Crusader floor from the Dome of the Rock (based on tiles found in the Sifting Project).
