Mystik - Live Mix on Synthstrom Deluge - 01/14 (07/12/24)

This is the first song of an hour-long mix. Song 01/14 (Deluge#248d)

Recorded on Friday, July 12, 2024 in San Francisco, CA.

The Synthstrom Deluge sequencer/sampler/drum machine is featured here. This one had a lot of follow actions, but not on all sections as you can see, requiring some manual triggering. Otherwise the track was mostly there, not much live improvising or anything either. It's more of a video cataloguing experiment.

The Akai Force is not routing any audio. Also my Pioneer RMX1000 was not being recorded (currently routed to the booth out, not record out) so there are no outboard effects either. Nor are the LPK25 or LPD8 active.

This began as a proof of concept to do a full live mix seamlessly mixing between projects on the Deluge for what might constitute an hour long set. I ended up stepping backwards through 10 of my most recent projects and then up a couple after I'd reached down to my newest set... so from 248-238, then to 249-251. I was transitioning blindly in the sense that I didn't know what was coming next, which key it would be in, nor what level of intensity it would drop with. So, it was an experiment. One that, after several listens, I'm enjoying and thought I'd share so you can, too. Enjoy!
