Variants: The Toyota SUV can be had in two trims: Standard and Legender. The SUV is also available in a sporty-looking GR-S trim.

Seating Capacity: It has the capacity to seat seven passengers.

Engine and Transmission: The Fortuner gets two engine options: a 2.7-litre petrol engine (making 166PS and 245Nm) and a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine (204PS and 500Nm). The former is mated to a five-speed manual and the latter comes with a six-speed manual transmission. The diesel unit also comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox option and four-wheel-drive system. The Legender trim gets the same diesel engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Features: Toyota has loaded the Fortuner with features like an infotainment system (nine-inch unit for the Legender and eight-inch unit for the regular Fortuner) with Apple CarPlay and connected car features. Alloy wheels on offer are 18 inches in size for the Fortuner and dual-tone 20-inch rims for the Legender. It also gets a 360-degree parking camera, wireless phone charging, a kick-to-open powered tailgate and ambient lighting.

Safety: Passenger safety is ensured by up to seven airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control, hill assist and ABS with EBD.
