Goler Wash and Mengel Pass - Death Valley, CA

Okay, we actually start in the Panamint Valley, but we're heading into Death Valley! Starting in Ballarat, through Goler Canyon, and over Mengel Pass, with some cool stops along the way. This is actually the ONLY off-road route from the western edge of the park that will take you into the southern half of Death Valley. There are a few farther north, but they tend to be multi-day treks. If you try to take any other route, you'll be turning around or facing hefty fines from the Park Service. Anyway, why would you take any other route when this way is SO spectacular! This run was done during Cal 4WD Association's "Panamint Valley Days" event and was led by some awesome guys from the Gear Grinders club, out of Ridgecrest, CA. Thanks Mark and Matt.
