How to download Xcode and Install

OS: Mac OS , Only supports Apple computers like Mac, Mac Mini, MacBooks.

First check your mac system configuration like OS version and Memory, so that we can download the supported version of Xcode

Go to google in your favourite browser,

Search for xcode download / Xcode install

you can see the link with ‘Xcode - apple developer’ If you wan the latest version of Xcode, This link will be helpful and this will be available to download through ‘App Store’ and app store will take care of the installation then.

There is a stack overflow page available for list of all available Xcode versions with supported Mac OS version, either you can click the link to directly download or you can browse all the available download software page provided by apple. The LINKs are,

At any of the above way, you requires ‘Apple developer Id and password’ is required to download.
You can create your apple developer id (its differ from apple id) for FREE.

If you want to install your developed app later to the iPhone/iPad, you requires to subscribe your developer Id which cost $99 per month.

Once logged in with your developer Id, You can see all the available downloaded softwares from apple.

Please search for your required software (here Xcode) and wait for the download to complete, the file downloaded is a xib file (compressed). Decompress the file and move the raw file to Mac Application folder.

Thats all about the Xcode installation. Just double click the Xcode from Application, which will open the IDE for your development.

When you are open the Xcode very first time on your Mac, it will take some time and require internet to install ‘Command Line Tools’ Please be patience.
