I think making jokes are great! But some don't mean to make jokes, they mean to be insulting - and that is where you separate those who make gay jokes... and those using it as an insult.
This is a gameplay session I had with some friends playing with Merlin and coming across salty homophobic racists that were abysmal at the game.
