By Caitlin Conrad/KTVL.comYREKA, Calif. -- Sonia Donahue is a woman who caused a lot of harm to California Pacific Power worker more than a year aog. Tuesday she plead guilty to all the charges involved in the case. More than a year ago Donahue got into Pacific Power utility truck while the bucket was in the air, and a worker was up with it. She then took off in the pick-up and worker Jim Harkless fell 30 feet to the ground and suffered multiple injuries. Tuesday in court room Donahue plead guilty to car jacking, and assault with a deadly weapon, bringing a sigh of relief for district attorney Kirk Andrus, our thoughts were really with the victim in this case, he said. Andrus says he talk to Harkless about the outcome, and the plea deal is what he wanted. While in court Donahue also plead guilt to several charges from different cases, including endangering a child, and another assault. She was sentenced to 19 years in prison and under California law will have to serve 85 percent of the time. After going through a number of surgeries, Harkless is still recovering from the injuries he suffered in the fall.
