This is a short educational video of the Absecon Lighthouse in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This was filmed using a DJI Mavic Pro drone, with permission from the Director of Educational Programs there at the Absecon Museum. If you have the opportunity to get to Atlantic City, make sure you take the opportunity to stop by and visit this wonderful piece of history! For only a few dollars, you can ascend to the top of this 171 foot high lighthouse (the third tallest in the country!) and get an amazing view of Atlantic City and the harbor! Be sure to spend some time touring the museum and the grounds, filled with interesting history, including some information that Civil War buffs would be very interested in knowing!! (Did you know that in 1910, the 44th meeting of the Grand Army of The Republic met here in Atlantic City, the only time a national convention for Union civil war veterans ever took place in New Jersey? Over 18,000 Civil War veterans attended this encampment, including General Daniel Sickles and General Nelson Miles!)
