Lessons Learned

Foley is actually pretty amazing and increases production value a lot!

You definitely learn more doing than watching tutorials and reading stuff.

I'm still not 100% comfortable being on screen but I'm the only actor I have.

Do a custom white balance before each shot that the lighting changes, it saves time in post.

Storyboarding could have saved me a bunch of time as well. It feels like extra work but it's worth it in the end.

Video Tripods and Photo Tripods are very different. Setting a ball head precisely how you want it just seems to take longer than a pan/tilt or a good video head would.

I edited about 6 versions of this short and the feedback improved each one. as well as kinda made me feel like I failed the exercise.. but ultimately it did improve the film overall. I'll take the Pro over the con and stick with it.
