In the city of Nanaimo, a group of 300 homeless people have built a temporary campsite called 'DisconTent City'. The winters are harsh, the nights can be minus 15 degrees and at times the rain is incessant.

For many, drugs are the only source of comfort. Overdoses are a frequent occurrence.

Since filming the council have forced the closure of DisconTent City and bulldozed the site. Its 300 homeless residents have been evicted.
