The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) is a grassroots social and environmental justice movement that originated in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Founded in 1990 by the charismatic writer and activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa, MOSOP emerged as a powerful voice for the Ogoni people in their struggle against the devastating impact of oil exploration and exploitation on their land and livelihoods.
