Talents are God given gifts to advance the kingdom

How are you using your talents to prepare for Jesus’ return?

The bigger issue here is do you see all gifts given to you as resources/opportunities to advance the kingdom of God? Do you believe that Jesus is returning and are you preparing for that time?
JC Ryle goes further with the definition of talents when he says, "Anything whereby we may glorify God is a talent. Our gifts, our influence, our money, our knowledge, our health, our strength, our time, our senses, our reason, our intellect, our memory, our affections, our privileges as members of Christ's Church, our advantages as possessors of the Bible--all, all are talents.
Let’s now look at the master's response to the handling of His talents. They are judged off of what they did with what they were given. How much they were given didn’t matter. Again, this puts everybody on the hook. This parable does not just apply if you have been given much. It applies if you have been given anything at all. Which all of us have.
