Merlin and Arthur are just starting their relation when Uther tries to force the Prince to marry the Princess Elena. Arthur promises Merlin that he would not let anything come between them and that he's not about to give up on them. But Uther finds out and banishes Merlin.

Arthur stops the wedding with Elena. he gets really depressed and stops eating and just stays in his chambers all day long. Uther doesn't know what to do.

Meanwhile, Merlin has a vision in the Christal Cave: he sees Uther finding Arthur dead in his chambers. He rushes immediately back to Camelot praying he doesn't arrive too late. He manages to save him using his powers.

The next day, Uther comes to visit Merlin who is adamant that he's not leaving again. Uther says that he can stay and that he should look after his son.
