Thousands of students in Mombasa were on Monday caught up in the ongoing crackdown on rouge public service vehicles. The learners were stranded for hours at various bus stops, unable to travel to their respective schools after some operators grounded their buses to escape the dragnet. Those lucky enough to leave for their destinations were forced to dig deeper into their pockets to afford the exponential rise in bus fare.
