This is part 2 of a previous CB upload, due to requests. I made the recording by sending the tape output audio in my Comstat 23 tube radio to a reel to reel recorder. It's a rare insight of the era.

This is a typical Friday night on CB radio in 1969 & '70. Citizens Band radio was the way ordinary people of all ages communicated before the Internet, video games, and smart phones existed. Sometimes kids would stay up until dawn chattering on CB, much like with online video games today.

CB was immensely popular by 1975, partly due to cheaper transistorized mobile radios, but they didn't sound as good as the old tube radios.
