THE SET-UP AND SETTING OF THE SCENARIO ARE THE SAME AS PREVIOUSLY: IN A BUSY HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM, STEVE, HIS WIFE SALLY AND DAUGHTER GEMMA SIT ANXIOUSLY AWAITING SALLY'S TEST RESULTS.

STEVE SAYS: They get them off the banana boat, stick them in here, give them work permits, and let them run the place. It's no wonder nothing goes right.

MARIA CALLS OVER TO HIM: Excuse me, sir. Can I have a word, please?

STEVE APPROACHES THE RECEPTION DESK

STEVE SAYS: Is it our turn yet?

MARIA SAYS: I'm sorry you and your wife had to wait so long. And I can understand it can be very stressful waiting to see the doctor.

STEVE SAYS: Tell me about it.

MARIA SAYS: But your remarks are really offensive to me and to other people. We don't tolerate racist behaviour here.

MARIA POINTS AT THE THE HOSPITAL'S ZERO-TOLERANCE ON RACIAL HARASSMENT POLICY ON THE WALL, AND SAYS: So please respect that policy.

STEVE SAYS: And what if I don't?

MARIA SAYS: I'll have to ask you to wait outside.

CHRIS HEARS THE CONVERSATION AS HE PASSES BY. HE STOPS AND APPROACHES.

CHRIS SAYS: Everything OK, Maria?

STEVE SAYS: Help me out here, please, mate. She's making sure all the other foreigners get seen before my wife, and she's got the nerve to threaten to chuck me out?

CHRIS SAYS: She's right. We don't tolerate racist behaviour here.

STEVE SAYS: I haven't done anything racist. All i said was all the ethnics look out for each other. Statement of fact.

MARIA SAYS: Mr Baxter, will you please wait outside?

STEVE SAYS: My wife's the patient here. I'm right, aren't I?

CHRIS SAYS: She is the patient and she will be seen as soon as possible, but you're going to have to wait outside.

STEVE SAYS: They've got you under their thumb, haven't they?

SALLY APPROACHES, CONCERNED.

SALLY SAYS: Steve, come on, come and sit down.

CHRIS SAYS: Can you leave now, Mr Baxter?

SALLY SAYS: Go on, go get a cup of tea or something. I'll stay with Gemma.

STEVE SAYS: We're being victimised.

SALLY SAYS: I'll be OK.

STEVE LEAVES.
