How to Use Muted Colors in a Painting

In this video we are mixing colors to create muted tones for painting. This practice will show you the difference of painting with bright vs. muted colors and how to use them for lovely results.
I'm sharing how to take bright/intense colors and teaching you how to mute the tones to make them easier to use in your watercolor paintings. This process is a desaturation technique and will change your art through color, focal point strength and bring harmony to your artwork.
