Most search engine optimization tools make you pay hundreds of dollars a month to see what websites link to other websites.

Microsoft Bing gives this for free.

Go to Bing Webmaster Tools.

Click on “Backlinks” in the sidebar.

You can see backlinks that go to your site or to any site.

A backlink is the SEO term for when one website links to another website. If you want to see who's linking to your competitors' websites you can see. If you want to see what type of press other websites are getting, you can see that too.

If you want to poach your competitors links, but you don't want to pay for an SEO tool, you can use this.

Now, there are some limitations to this tool.

It misses a huge amount of backlinks.

It says my site has 99 websites linking to it.

Moz, a paid tool, reports 332 websites linking to it.

So the links are dramatically under reported.

But if you want an idea of who's linking to your competitors' websites, and you don't want to have to pay hundreds of dollars a month for an SEO tool, this is not a bad place to start.
