ENDER LILLIES is a Modern Metroidvania Masterpiece

REVIEW: Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a fantastic exploration platformer, or "Metroidvania," from Japanese developers Adglobe and Live Wire and publisher Binary Haze Interactive. This is a full, in-depth and minimal story spoiler review of the game, which was originally released in 2021, but just got a physical release on Switch and PS4 courtesy of Clear River Games. It’s a solid dark fantasy side-scrolling action RPG that fans of classics like Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, or modern hits like Bloodstained and Hollow Knight should try out. It's a fun game, and while it doesn't have the depth of many similar titles, but I think it's a real work of art, a "modern Metroidvania masterpiece," if you will. And not just visually, but musically with its amazing soundtrack composed and performed by Japanese indie band Mili. (‪@ProjectMili‬)

Ender Lilies has been released digitally on the PC for Steam, Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation 4 and XBOX ONE and Series X/S, and physically on Switch and PS4, and includes many language options, so the game is very easy to pick up and play for fans around the world who love indie titles, action RPGs, dark fantasy, games from Japan or Metroidvania style adventures.

Since the publication of this review, a sequel to Ender Lilies was announced for modern platforms, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist.
