The 24th March 2023 marks exactly one year since I made history and became the first person to row from mainland Europe to mainland North America - time really does fly!

To celebrate the one-year anniversary I’ve taken a trip down memory lane to speak about the highs and the lows from my 111-day challenge.

For those of you that don’t know, I took on the row in memory of my grandad, who sadly passed away from a brain tumour in 2007. I was always driven by the fact that if he was able to live with his illness for two years then there was no reason I couldn’t spend over 100 days at sea. Of course, there were challenging moments but I am pleased to say I managed to raise almost £100,000 for the amazing charity, brainstrust.
