One of the biggest problems with 25+-year-old Land Rover Defenders - or any vehicle of that age - typically involves rust on the chassis.

The Land Rover Defender was designed to be a farm truck, used in the fields and in areas where typical vehicles couldn't make it. As a result, many of them spent a good portion of their lives slugging through mud and dirt - most of which ended up stuck in the little hidden spots of the chassis.

When mud and dirt stick around long enough, rust will quickly appear.
