Earlobe Reduction Surgery | Dr. Philip Solomon

Описание к видео Earlobe Reduction Surgery | Dr. Philip Solomon

Ear lobe reduction is a less common procedure that entails surgically reducing the size of the ear lobes should they be large in size. Ear lobe reduction surgery is performed under local anesthesia at the Solomon Nasal and Facial Surgery Center in Thornhill, just north of Toronto. The surgery requires 45 minutes per ear. There are 2 surgical techniques that can be used. Wedge excision, and Edge excision, which is a more commonly used technique. Dr. Solomon performs Edge excision, first by marking the ear lobe to the desired size and shape. The tissue outside that marking is then trimmed, and the remaining edges of the ear lobe are sutured with dissolvable sutures. Healing can take 2-4 weeks.
