Let’s talk about who to tip and how much in Las Vegas.

1. Bell Hop – they will take your luggage out of the car, bring it to your room, or store it for you. Standard tipping is $1-$5 per bag.

2. Casino Hosts – if you’re a big spender and have a casino host, they can comp tickets to restaurants, rooms, events, and shows. Depending on what they do for you, $100-$500 is a customary tip.

3. Cocktail Servers/Bartenders/Bussers/Waiters – a lot of restaurants and clubs auto grat 15-20% for the service staff. While they get their tips, they will still try to hustle for more. Consider tipping an extra 5-10% if they go out of their way to take care of you.

4. Front Desk – if the hotel is not sold out, front desk staff might give you a discount on a better room or upgrade your room. Be sure to give them a $20-$100 tip.

5. Housekeeping – if you left the room a complete mess. Consider leaving a generous tip, ranging from $5-$20, depending on the condition of the room.

6. Limo / Party Bus Drivers – keep $5-$10 handy for the drivers who bring you to the strip clubs. They get an hourly wage but live off their tips.

7. Restroom Attendants – I always tip these guys. I feel bad for them; some have worked in the restrooms for years. A $2-$3 tip is good each time you go in.

8. Rideshare/Taxis/Shuttles – taxis allow for tipping via credit cards, and rideshares provide an option to leave a tip, but with the high cost of gas and insurance, leave an extra tip if you can.

9. Room Service – room service at most hotels auto grat but consider leaving a little extra if they did a great job. Be sure to check the bill. If there is no tip, leave a 15-20% tip.

10. Table Dealers – they get paid a good hourly rate, but I still tip $5-$20, depending on what I win, but if I lose, I don’t usually tip.

11. Valet – when the hotels stopped offering free valet parking, the valet staff got screwed with little to no tips. Keep at least a $5 bill available. The job is physically demanding, and they work hard to make ends meet.

12. VIP Hosts – I am a VIP host, and a lot of customers tip me because I provide exceptional service. I never request them or expect them but appreciate them very much.
