You don't need money to get started, and there's no monthly subscription fee or anything like that
"Playing" in Decentraland includes mining supplies, attending fun community events, exploring new attractions in the world and more
There is set number of parcels/land (90k) to buy, making them pretty valuable with such a limited supply and big demand. The cheapest parcel is 3k Mana, which, at the time of this writing, ends up being 12k in USD.
