Part 9 of our retrospective series following the Crash Bandicoot games outside of Naughty Dog's hands. Crash Twinsanity released in 2004 and is known for taking quite a few liberties with the formula the series had built up to that point. It shifted away from the linear level structure to a more open-ended, "free-form" style of adventure game. This change rustled a few feathers. The abundance of bugs and the rushed nature of its release didn't help Twinsanity's reputation, and as a result, it has become one of the more divisive entries in the series. Is it really that bad?
