This is truly an amazing video of a recent Drone Search and Rescue Training Exercise.

One of the biggest hurdles currently facing Public Safety and SAR Remote Aviation Teams, is flying sorties while still complying to the FAA’s current Line-of-Sight Rule. In this video we will demonstrate a Beyond Visual Line of Sight Flight Operation during a Mock Training exercise.

We discuss in detail simple processes on how to best coordinate the Beyond Visual Line of Sight Aircraft with other aircraft within a confined search area. You will see how these First Responders flew a Beyond Visual Line of Sight Search from inside the Command Post. This technique can be utilized on other incident types as well.
