In this part, I glued the hinges to the chest and hatch cover. Сovered the hull with sapele wood. Сut out the side windows and installed decorations on the front and side windows. Glued the roof over the cabins. Made ladders to the cabins and the roof.

📖 History of model: The Gretel was built in the mid-18th century based on construction plans by Fredrik Af Chapman and represents a particularly successful example of excursion and pleasure boats of that era. The design already shows a great resemblance to the layout of modern yachts. What is interesting about the Gretel is its quite respectable sail area in relation to the hull. It was certainly comparatively fast on the water.
