The University of North Carolina A&T awarded a posthumous degree during graduation ceremonies last Saturday to 29-year-old Vantazia Campbell of Dillon.

Campbell was stabbed to death in July at an apartment in Dillon.

Police said they charged Campbell's boyfriend, Johnny Leath, with murder in her death.

Campbell's mother, Tanya McNeil, and sister, Janasia Johnson, attended the graduation ceremony and accepted the degree on Campbell's behalf.
