Carte-Blanche is a team of designers interested in creating spaces that challenge relationships between people and domestic settings, between performer and stage, between performer and audience. They designed Alf for Vivid 2011, Cloudscape for Vivid 2012, 2 interactive light installations.

"We are drawn to spaces that provide the opportunity for physical and mental engagement. We anticipate the experience of I Love Todd Sampson to be similar to wandering through a building one has never entered before, with feelings of anticipation, excitement, and fear. We envision the audience travelling through a story, constructing a story rather than watching it unfold. In the physical and mental space where ILTS will unfold a doorway will no longer be simply a conduit between two rooms, but will become a conduit in space, time and psychological state."
