M60 Swapped e30 Part 1! | Engine Test Fitment!

Описание к видео M60 Swapped e30 Part 1! | Engine Test Fitment!

Hey guys!

This is my first episode of a project that’s been occupying my mental space for about the last year.

In January I started tearing down an m60 and m62 to make what most people know as the m60b44, or m60 ‘stroker’. Essentially it’s an engine that uses the heads and timing assembly from the m60, and block/rotating assembly from the m62/tu. These engines have the same block casting and quite literally bolt up. The benefits are still debated, though you can get by with saying that it’s in general more reliable, and has the low end torque that wasn’t very present in the m60!

After resealing the engine & cleaning it to the best of my ability, it’s time for it to go in its forever home, a 1991 318is slicktop e30! Nothing too crazy about the chassis, currently on bilsteins & H&R race springs. This will be mated to a getrag 420g along with a 2.93lsd rear end.
