"Beach road" "Bring back my boy" - TAC's Anti Speed TV Ad 1990

The second TAC commercial addressed speed the biggest killer on our roads and introduced the line Don't fool yourself, speed kills.

A young boy is killed by a speeding driver whose pathetic excuse is that the traffic was doing 80km/h. The commercial closes with the grieving mother wailing Bring back my boy.

The young boy who was killed in the 1990 Beach Road speed commercial did indeed come back. Jesse Spencer reappeared in 1999 as a P plater having a crash as a result of insufficient experience on his L plates. This time he survived.
