Usine Justice
This factory was built in 1912 and functioned as a textile company until 1937. In 1937, the complex was taken over by a manufacturer, who converted the textile company into a steam sheet manufacturing facility. In 1958 the company was in financial trouble and was taken over by one of its creditors, a Rotterdam sheet trader and tanner, who continued the company under the same name. The collapse of the European fur industry in the 1980s forced the company to cease operations in 1988. In that year the technical installation was removed, and since then the buildings have been used as storage. After the last known owner had to move into a home, the house next to the factory was occupied by his brother, a lawyer who was keeping an eye on the property. The brother has now also moved. The location owes the name Usine Justice to the fact that the brother is a lawyer. Part of an eco-residential area is planned at this location, so there is a good chance that the site has been sold to a project developer.

Deze fabriek werd in 1912 gebouwd en fungeerde tot 1937 als textielbedrijf.
In 1937 werd het complex overgenomen door een fabrikant, die het textielbedrijf omvormde tot stoomvellenbereiderij.
In 1958 verkeerde het bedrijf in financiële problemen en werd het overgenomen door één van haar schuldeisers,
een Rotterdamse vellenhandelaar en leerlooier, die het bedrijf onder dezelfde naam voortzette.
Door de ineenstorting van de Europese vellen- en bontsector in de jaren tachtig moest het bedrijf in 1988 de activiteiten staken.
In dat jaar werd de technische installatie verwijderd, en sindsdien worden de gebouwen als opslag gebruikt.
Nadat de laatst bekende eigenaar naar een tehuis moest werd de woning naast de fabriek bewoond door zijn broer, een advocaat die ook een
oogje in het zeil hield. Inmiddels is de broer ook verhuisd. De naam Usine Justice dankt de locatie aan het feit dat de broer een advocaat is.
Er staat op deze locatie een deel van een eco-woonwijk gepland dus de kans is groot dat het terrein aan een projektontwikkelaar verkocht is.
